How long will it take for my DoorVi to arrive?
We strive to ship all DoorVi orders within 24 hours of receipt and they typically arrive within 3–7 days. If you haven't received your DoorVi Kit after 7 days, please contact us via the live chat feature and we'll assist you.
Getting Started
How do I activate the DoorVi QR sticker? (Hard copy)
Sign up for the DoorVi app and create a category. After successfully submitting the data, you will be directed to the home screen of the DoorVi app.
On the home screen, look for the option that says "Activate QR Code" and tap on it to scan the received QR code.
Once you scan the code, the activation process is complete and you are all set to use your QR code.
How do I add members to my DoorVi address?
Open the DoorVi app and go to the main screen or homepage.
Look for the option that says "Add Member" and tap on it.
Type in the name of the person you want to add. You can add details manually or use the "Contact" option to pull from your phone contacts.
At the top right of the screen, tap "Verified Contacts".
You will find the member you added along with a Share icon. Tap it to send the app link to the new member.
Once the added member installs the DoorVi app through that link, they need to sign up.
Once they've signed up, the process of adding the member is complete.
I paid for a softcopy QR code but can't find it — what do I do?
Open the app and go to the home screen or main screen.
Look for an option that says "Your QR Code" and tap on it.
You will see your unique QR code displayed on the screen. There should also be a Download option.
If you still cannot find your QR code, please send an email to media@doorvi.co with your registered phone number and the payment receipt.
Usage
Can multiple people be connected to the same DoorVi address?
Yes, absolutely! You can connect multiple people or family members to the same DoorVi address using a single QR code. The number of members depends on your plan:
Silver plan — up to 4 members
Gold plan — up to 6 members
Platinum plan — up to 20 members
Is DoorVi suitable for businesses or commercial locations?
Absolutely! DoorVi is ideal for locations where traditional smart doorbells or intercoms are not feasible — such as offices, shared spaces, building sites, campuses, or warehouses — because it can be installed anywhere. DoorVi supports houses/villas, flats, offices, shops, showrooms, and factories. Any visitor standing outside simply scans the QR code and connects with the owner over a video call.
Does the visitor need the DoorVi app to scan?
No app required for visitors! DoorVi works with any smartphone that can scan QR codes. Your guest can contact you by simply scanning the QR code sticker using the native camera app or any QR code scanner.
Do I need different QR codes for different categories?
Yes. Each category requires its own unique QR code.
Plans & Pricing
Do I need to pay for a new QR code when I add a new category?
It's not necessary to pay for a new QR code right away. You can start using the basic plan of DoorVi completely free of charge. Once you're satisfied with the service and ready to explore additional features, you can purchase one of our plans according to your requirements.
Can I access a QR code without paying any fees?
Absolutely! With DoorVi's basic plan, you get access to a QR code completely free of charge. There are no fees associated with the basic plan, allowing you to enjoy the convenience of DoorVi without any cost.
Privacy & Security
Can a visitor see my phone number when they scan the QR code?
No. The person scanning the QR code cannot access your phone number unless you explicitly enable the "Callback Number" option in the app. By default, your phone number remains private and secure.
Troubleshooting
I'm not receiving a ring or notification when someone scans the QR code
Please check the following:
Make sure your smartphone is not in battery-saving or power-saving mode.
Make sure Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is not enabled, or that DoorVi is allowed through DND (see the DND guides below).
How do I allow DoorVi notifications in DND mode on Android?
Open Settings on your Android device.
Find and tap Do Not Disturb (or DND).
Tap Apps or Applications.
From the list, locate and tap on the DoorVi app.
Enable the app by toggling the switch or checking the box.
How do I allow DoorVi notifications in DND mode on iPhone / iPad?
Open Settings on your iOS device.
Tap Focus.
Select Do Not Disturb.
Tap Apps.
Add DoorVi to the allowed apps list so it can notify you during Do Not Disturb mode.
Account
How do I delete my DoorVi account?
Open the DoorVi app and go to the Settings tab.
Scroll down to find the Delete Account option.
Tap Delete Account and confirm by tapping OK.
All data linked with your DoorVi account will be permanently deleted.
